The Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Information Ministers organized today, at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, the 19th meeting of the Arab Committee for Electronic Media, with the participation of representatives of the ministries of information and media agencies in the member states, in addition to organizations and unions that hold observer status in the meetings of the Council of Arab Information Ministers. 
The Kingdom was represented at the meeting by the Executive Director of the Regulatory Affairs Sector at the General Authority for Audiovisual Media, Kholoud bint Ibrahim Al-Amir, and from the Frequencies and Engineering Affairs Sector at the Authority, Ali bin Saleh Al-Fuwais. 
The Director of the Technical Department of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, Chairman of the Committee, Minister Plenipotentiary Faleh bin Majed Al-Mutairi explained in a statement following the meeting that the draft guide to the age classification standard for electronic games was discussed, as the committee expressed its thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for preparing the final version of this guide, which aims to unify the controls and standards in force in the classification, marketing and circulation of electronic games directed at children and adolescents, while adhering to Arab constants and values ​​and family cohesion. 
The meeting also discussed a number of topics, including reviewing the report submitted by the United Arab Emirates on updating and developing the committee's website and forming a committee concerned with cybersecurity with the aim of fortifying Arab websites and platforms and protecting them from hacking and electronic attacks, and studying the project submitted by the Arab Satellite Broadcasting Authority, entitled "Arab Talents and Content Creators Platform" with the aim of enriching Arab content on the Internet. 
The committee's meeting comes in implementation of the recommendations issued by the regular session (16) of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which was recently held in Kuwait.
